Candice turned 16 in March and had a party. This is the cake...my neighbor made it for her.
Then, I got a job with a local photography studio. I attended frat parties and photographed the fun and frivolity. The students were fun...see photo...but the company wasn't and I decided to pursue other options.
We attended a local baseball game. The OKC Redhawks vs The Omaha Royals....longest game ever!!!!! Three hours into it they were at the bottom of the 5th inning and we went home.
The girls did their own photo shoot. They have an amazing aesthetic...I love when they do their own shoots
and speaking of photo shoots....I've done a few new ones. Andrea is six months pregnant and her husband is away in Iraq so she wanted photos of the pregnancy to send to him.
I also shot Lisa....my first nude shoot!
I 'tried' to do a shoot with Jim and the kids at Draper Lake...but it was so windy and they wouldn't be serious.
I did get a great shoot done with Candice recently...
Two weeks ago JIm graduated with his second degree....
and finally, I did a photo shoot of me...my birthday is June 18, so I wanted a birthday photo
I swear I've been doing stuff...obviously not blogging...but I've been doing stuff. I got a job which I think I'm gonna quit, did some photo shoots on my own, refinished this dresser which we're now calling the 'buffet' and am still plugging away at the school thing. I'll try andupload some photo shoot pics soon
If you could travel back in time, which era would you visit and why?
I would totally go back to the 20's and be a flapper. I love the hedonistic mentality of that era.
China is thinking about moving away from its one-child-per-couple restriction. What do you think the pros and cons of this decision would be?
We've discussed this in my environmental biology class quite a bit this semester...it was my understanding they don't have a restriction. They have incentives for couples who only have one child...specifically if you have one the government pays for all medical care and pays for their education. If you have more than one all financial incentives are withdrawn. And considering they're still the most populated country in the world...soon to be passed by India...and since the world as a whole is expected to reach 6.7 billion by this summer...I'd say it's a horrific idea. In fact, I think more nations should offer incentives and i think celebrities like Mel Gibso, Kirk Cameron and Flava Flav should pay steep financial penalties for overpopulating the planet. In the case of Flava Flav I think it should double because he's passing poor genes onto an unsuspecting generation. The man is an idiot

Ok, it has to be asked: What's your take on Britney's recent trip to the hospital?
The media spent entire days broadcasting live from the court house as Anna Nicole's loved ones battled over her body. It was breaking news when and if something changed or occured. We've reached a point where the media places a greater emphasis on ratings and sponsorship than quality of life and privacy.
However, they couldn't achieve either if the public weren't wacthing intently for the next big news story. I don't know if we're fascinated because we find comfort in knowing her life...with her fame and fortune...is no better than any one of ours...or if it's because we're simply inherently intrigued by the macabre and misfortune of others.
I'm actually glad they've forced her into some form of treatment. If they can control her disorder with medication, she might be able to have some semblence of a normal life. It's sadly ironic that she and her family made such huge sacrifices and worked so hard to achieve this success...and now she isn't even able to enjoy any of it.
Do you think real love can last throughout any distance, or will long distance end most relationships?
